While driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee, the front passenger headrest suddenly deployed forward with a loud popping/exploding sound. There was no collision, no impact, and no warning before it happened. Fortunately, no one was sitting in the passenger seat at the time. If a passenger had been seated there, the headrest could have struck them in the back of the head or neck and potentially caused serious injury. This appears to be a dangerous safety defect involving the Active Head Restraint…

While driving on the highway my Jeep GC shifts into neutral. Once I'm able to pull the car over, I'm not able to put the car into park or shut the car off. After a bit of time the car will start back up and will drive. It has been to the shop and they can not find what is the problem. there are no codes to be read. In reading various forums that is a common problem with the 3.2l engine in the Jeeps. It is dangerous as you lose ability to drive the car on teh highway, when it happens and…

Rear right coil spring violently detached and flew across my garage. Fortunately we were not driving it on the Florida Turnpike at the time and none of my family was in the garage when it explosively ejected. We took it to the dealership, Napleton’s Jeep, on February 23, 2026 for its annual service and explicitly directed them to repair or correct any recalls. They said they could not perform the coil spring repair because “Parts Not Available” but assured us it had been inspected and was…

The jeep was parked in our garage. When returning to the garage the right rear coil spring was laying on the garage floor. The jeep is stock. There was no accident or pothole event. The spring or mount broke or failed unexpectedly while the jeep was parked in our garage.

2020 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE
Filed May 23, 2026
The internal fuel pump/fuel pump circuit on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN: [XXX] ) failed prematurely, resulting in a sudden and severe 'no-crank' safety hazard. The fuel pump failure triggered a massive electrical current draw that shorted out the Powertrain/Engine Control Module communications and locked out the starter motor entirely. This electrical failure leaves the vehicle completely stranded, inoperable, and creates a significant risk of stalling in active traffic without power…
